The primary purpose of this course is to help servers develop a sense of purpose, as well as learn the importance of their role in building a positive relationship between the customer and the restaurant. Once servers understand this fundamental aspect, it creates positive morale, promotes team work and provides more consistency of service. As well, servers realize that the success of the restaurant and their job security is dependent on their performance.
In addition, this course will provide essential education on wine. Servers will train their sense of smell, taste and touch and then apply that training through a tasting evaluation. This combination of sensual training and theoretical knowledge will set a foundation for life-long learning about wine.
